It's a girl thing.
Boys just dont get why this was the most fabulous event of all times.
Boys have numerous events that they get excited for every year...
Superbowl,
NBA Play Offs,
March Madness,
Baseball Playoffs,
and so on.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE these events to.
I am a sports junky.
But deep down there is still a girly side to me.
As much as I love watching grown men compete
there is nothing like a Royal Wedding.
I think this wedding was a big deal to me because
my mom always talked about Princess Di's wedding growing up.
How they all got up in the middle of the night to watch these wonderful event.
She would tell me about her 25 foot train and her lavish dress.
She said how the whole world stopped just to watch this event.
I was always envious that I didn't get to see it.
I mean what girl wouldn't like this.
Every girl wants to be a Princess.
We have been brainwashed from birth.
After watching Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty,
Snow White, and Beauty and Beast,
every girl wants that fairy tale ending.
We dream about the big wedding, in a church, being walked down the isle.
Now that I have gotten older, I understand the importance of the temple,
and so these worldly things are not quite as important.
There is nothing more beautiful or moving than a temple wedding.
It was the greatest moment of my life.
Although I would not want to be married in a church,
I can still love watching a Princess do it.
I got totally caught up in the festivities.
I watched every show on TLC leading up to this event.
I even watched the extremely corny movie on Lifetime about the couple.
I woke up in the middle of the night just to watch it live.
I think this wedding was so great because it brought me back to my childhood.
It made me feel like a little girl again dreaming about being a princess.
